I hit the road around ten-thirty the night before, i.e., September 27. Course was almost directly to north.

Fairly soon after departure the wind picked up to 6 Bf and the waves began to rise.

When I had the island of Pianosa on the traverse, I was almost standing still. I was moving forward at a speed of one knot or less. This was at the point when I had to steer myself because the autopilot was allowing the boat to reach large angles tilt.

I reached the leeward of the island of Elba after three hours, which translates to an average speed of three knots.

Hour later, around half past eight in the morning, I anchored in Cala di Mola. Almost to the minute exactly 24 hours from moment, when I lifted anchor in Port de Taverna, Corsica.

So a full day's double sailing including 5.5 hours of drifting for having rest.

After arrival it was just relaxation, sleep and food until next day.
