Woke up before half past two in the morning, breakfast. Half an hour later, I started the engine and raised the mainsail. That was still in the bay on calm water.
Before four o'clock, I set a direct course for Gorgona and at a speed of about five knots headed north.
It was a pleasant sailing and at noon, after making 43 Nm, I was at the island of Gorgona.
As I got closer to Cala Dello Scalo, port started calling me on VHF. They asked if I was in distress. I guess they were wondering what I was doing there. Later on I found out that there is still a prison colony there. They didn't let me in :-)
So I changed course to the east and headed to Cala de Medici with a full sails. Even I reserved a spot in the marina along the way.
At six o'clock, i.e., thirteen hours after lifting the anchor in Elba, I was tied up and it was time to rest.
