The stern anchor got stuck at ten meters between the rocks, so besides the morning swim in the sea, the skipper dove down again around eleven for the anchor. Ten meters was too deep for his ears, so he chose another tactic. Dive as deep as possible, then maneuver vertically above the anchor to pull it out of the rocks. A few attempts, and the anchor was up.

The skipper announced that we would try to sail the old-fashioned way. So we turned off the electronics and tried to sail out only on the sails.

There was really no wind, so after an hour, we gave up and started the engine. For an hour, we sailed with a combination of motor and sails. Then only on the motor.

By half-past three, we sailed into Giglio Marina. From a distance, we communicated with the marina staff about whether we could stay overnight. There was no space, but we could stay at the outer pier. The pier was clearly unused for a long time and slowly falling apart. We moored, and the skipper went to ask for water. Unfortunately, the answer was no.

By evening, the wind picked up significantly, and unpleasant longitudinal waves started coming from a distance.

We went to town for an excellent dinner.

The night was up, down. Sometimes the ropes got a little twitchy. The skipper went to retie the ropes four times. Finally, he completely redid them. He used the longest rope on one spring and used two shorter ropes on the other spring, which he tied. Then the sharp twitching stopped and at least we managed to get some sleep in the morning.
