Isola di Capri - Salerno
28,8 Nm
(total 487,5 Nm)
wind 4-5 Bf
sea 4
Compared to the original plan, we set off an hour and a half earlier, at seven thirty. The reason was an unpleasant sound coming from the anchor chain, which occasionally rang out. The likely reason was a combination of depth (we anchored at 15m), no wind and occasional waves that pushed the boat onto the chain sharply heading into the water before hull turned in the direction on waves.
The skipper couldn't stand it, he started the engine, pulled up the anchor, and set off.
The weather forecast predicted wind of 25 knots or more by noon.
Even in the Bocca Piccola channel, we hoisted full sail and, with a gentle wind, sailed towards Salerno at a speed of 5 to 6 knots.
At times, the GPS showed a SOG of up to 7 knots :-)
(speed over ground)
By half past one, we refuel with diesel at Marina d'Arechi, and twenty minutes later we tie up at the pier.
We hand over the boat and then we have a discussion with NSS in the office about cleaning the fuel valve on the island of Ponza and payment for the service.
In the evening, we all go out for pizza... And that’s all :-)
The voyage is over, and in the evening we discuss the shared experiences over a glass of wine in the cockpit. And there were plenty of them. It even led to a phone call to Germany and singing a Czech song from a distance. It was fun.
We had a great time :-)))
